THE SECRETS OF SWEATERS.......

Any razor can remove pilling

Just be careful not to snag the fabric but only shave the surface

All wool sweaters can be hand washed. Infact dry cleaning is bad/ it breaks down the fibers

Manufactures don’t tell you that because if you screw up- you’ll blame them !

Cotton sweaters will not shrink in the drier. Put them into the drier , with body inside out (sleeves stay in body)in order to hold its shape. Rather, lay flat to dry

Any snag can vanish at the hands of a fine crochet needle/ by pulling the yarn of the snag inside the sweater

Beware ! If a content is under 5% it does not have to be named on the label

The finer the knitted fabric, the more expensive the yarn and the more difficult it is to loop ( put together)

Sweaters are knitted. They are created by a series of loops and can be unraveled. Wovens are a series of fine yarn that cross left to right ( weft)

and up and down (warp)

Of course, there are exceptions, like  “nonwoven” such as a Handy wipe

Or raschel knitting - which does not stretch and is more like a woven
